2019 Tannat

Our 2019 Texas Tannat was fermented in small lots to extract the deep color this grape naturally exhibits. Aromas of dried cherry and cocoa powder mingle with cedar in the background. Lighter in body than is typical, the playful acidity is balanced nicely with flavors of jammy berries and rubbed sage, finishing with a touch of mocha from aging in French and Hungarian oak. It will pair nicely with roasted poultry or hearty vegetarian dishes such as ratatouille.
